Billy the Goat's Big Breakfast Reviews
Greed's lesson. Don't eat the bread dough you Wally!
I was really excited when I saw that this book was written by Jez Alborough, but I was disappointed after having read it. It is a rather lengthy book - too long for ECE readers - even though it is written in a sing-songy way that they would love. Also, the rhyming isn't consistent throughout, which could make it hard to read aloud. The story is cute, however, and teaches a lesson about learning patience and waiting when someone asks you to.
I am surprised by some of the ratings. This book is darling. It is a bit longer than standard children's picture books but my toddler listened all the way through. It has great rhymes and teaches a good lesson. Fun illustrations too!
Billy eats a lump of goo and gets a belly ache.
LOVE this book!
