I couldn't even finish this, I was sick of the word whiskey by the second chapter. I just didn't care about the characters at all.

Hmm, it was quite alright, to be perfectly honest. It was a very unexciting storyline, with some interesting characters. The ending was alright too. Nothing too mesmerising, although the author's use of her knowledge on whisky was brilliant! I loved every single whisky related sentence in that book! It was very intelligently intertwined into the storyline, and the whisky quotes at the beginning of each chapter actually worked really well. Characters- dull, no one overly interesting// storyline-manageable, not very exciting though// ending- alright/realistic// would I recommend you read it- yes, given that you you've read her first book- Lazy Ways to Make a Living and that you want to learn something about whisky. If not, then don't bother. I only gave it three stars because of the whisky references, and because unlike the author's first book, this one had a coherent ending.

It is a boring book.no sentence without the word "WHISKY".i got sick and tired of hearing that word. And the title of the book has nothing to do with the boring story.I think the author has to change writing style.

This was a nice read that kept me guessing with a few giggles along the way. I must say that I had high hopes for it after the first chapter but despite it being a good read, it did not grab me the way it could have!

although there was overuse of the word whiskey, I still think this was worth a read. not your standard love story.
